KUALA LUMPUR, APRIL 12, 2018 – An evening of glamour and Italian chic style was held at MAISON PAVILION KL today. Organized by JUNIOR LOOKBOOK and The Italian Trade Agency, the event was attended by members of the high society and well known celebrities.
Before the show began, invited guests were seen mingling with each other whilst enjoying their glasses of wines and Italian hors d'oeuvre. Many took opportunity to take group pictures and selfies in front of the two specially built 3D backdrops which portrayed the day scene and the night scene of the 13th Century Milan Duomo.
The Junior Couture Italian Fashion Soiree 2018 soon kicked off with the stage LED lighting ceremony by Chairman Mr. Brian John Yim, Managing Director Mr. Matthew Benjamin Yoon, Dr. Samuel Porsia who is the Head of the Italian Trade Agency, Chancellor Silvia Marrara, Deputy Head of The Italian Embassy and celebrities like Dato A. C. Mizal, Datin Emylia, Datuk Syafinaz Selamat, Ning Baizura, Amber Chia, Chris Tong Bingyu, as well as the Editor of Glam Malaysia Ms Suzie Adnan and Editor-In-Chief of Citta Bella Magazine Ms. Elsa Dang. The event was also covered by NTV7 Feel Good Show and hosted by Ms. Megan Tan.
After the welcoming speeches, Malaysia’s very own Pop singer Ning Baizura rendered an upbeat song entitled ‘Symphony.’
The highlight of the evening was the fashion show by selected 33 kids models who catwalked the LED lit stage wearing the latest spring/summer 2018 collection from Fendi Kids, Young Versace, Emilio Pucci Junior and Gianfranco Ferre; all four high end well known international brands from Italy.
Globally, this is also the first season for Emilio Pucci Junior which launched the children’s wear line the same mini-me print as its latest adult women collection. Fendi Kids’ design for this season is cherry and pink for girls, surf boards and yellow for boys. Of course, the famous iconic Fendi eyes patched shirts and bags were among those that were showcased by the kids models that night.
Young Versace’s theme for spring/summer 2018 is TRÉSOR DE LA MER consisting of star fish, sea horse, and rare precious underwater sea shells and pearls. Gianfranco Ferre’s first line suits look absolutely smart on the male kids models. Every piece was as though made to measure.
The evening ended with group pictures of all the kids models together with the VVIPs.
