9th March 2017 – An event to kick off KENZO KIDS label took place at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur today. The event was well attended by 200 prominent guests such as Datuk Chef Wan, Arja Lee, Azrel Ismail, Amber Chia.
KENZO KIDS is now officially made available in Malaysia at JUNIOR LOOKBOOK PAVILION KL. In 1970, Kenzo Takada opened his first boutique in 1970. Called Jungle Jap, it was housed in a former antique clothing store at the Gallerie Vivienne in the heart of Paris. With its colorful prints and declaration of freedom, the design epitomizes "West meets East," merging fun prints with an ethnic vibe, flowers (the house’s signature), and textures to blend Kenzo's natural Japanese influences with Parisian culture. Today, KENZO is still known for this joyous and colorful heritage.
The KENZO KIDS BASH started with a welcoming speech by the Chairman and CEO of JUNIOR LOOKBOOK MALAYSIA, Mr. Brian John Yim, followed by the introduction of the brand by the company’s Managing Director, Mr. Matthew Benjamin Yoon. The highlight of the event was the fashion show by 20 kids models wearing the Spring/Summer 2017 KENZO KIDS new collection. This is the first time that KENZO KIDS has authorized a Malaysian partner to represent the iconic brand. JUNIOR LOOKBOOK not only houses KENZO KIDS but also original premium luxury labels such as FENDI KIDS, PAUL SMITH JUNIOR, LITTLE MARC JACOBS, BOSS HUGO BOSS, DKNY, JUNIOR GAULTIER, CHLOE, STELLA MCCARTNEY, AIGNER KIDS, ZADIG & VOLTAIRE and KARL LAGERFELD KIDS for teenagers, kids and layettes.
One of the ICONS of JUNIOR LOOKBOOK, ten-year-old Sawyer Leong stole the show by his stunning beatbox performance, followed by the amazing choreography by the kids models, age between 4 to 12.
JUNIOR LOOKBOOK is prominently located at Level 5 of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur with a beautiful 360 degree facade.
